By giving access to film professionals Film Revolt is playing an important role in ensuring the continuation of the great Australian film industry.  In simple terms, you cannot be what you cannot see.  Young creative people need to see the film industry as an accessible, viable career path and it is only through exposure to it that this will be seen.
Fiona Crombie (Production Designer, The Favourite)

It is critically important for young people to be given opportunities to learn about the intricacies and workings of the film industry. Creatively-speaking, the film industry is a vibrant part of contemporary culture and thrives on fresh, new input from young people. From a business perspective, the film industry continually creates thousands of jobs, and injects millions of dollars into the national economy. Young people represent the future of the film industry, so we need to invest in them.  Michael was an extremely well-informed and well-researched interviewer, and – as a result – the interview felt like a two-way conversation. He is a very good reflection of the benefits of ‘Film In Revolt’ in supporting the wider education of our future film industry professionals.
